It was one of the most amazing days of my life so far. I remember standing on centre ice in the West Edmonton Mall, my arm over the shoulder of my Pro hockey Brother, the Canadian anthem played to honour the first game of the 2019 Brick Invitational Tournament. I was looking at my mother and father and remembering how far I have come and the people that have scarified to get me here. My mom, dad, brothers, sisters, grand parents, aunts, uncles, teachers, team mates and my coaches. I would not be here without them! It was NOT an easy road to get here. I remember my mom crying tears of joy as she read me the acceptance letter form Coach Vicki Hoffard of Pro Hockey.
Silence filled the room time stood still for me my mind carried me back in time to my first day on the ice with skates. I cant believe that it has been 5 years and a crazy ride.
I feel bad for all the young players that wont be able to attend “The Brick” to me this tournament captured a great part of my life that I will never forget!
Super sad that in 2020 inspired young players wont experience The Brick
